RECYCLING & LITTER ABATEMENT Recycling is mandatory in Alpine. In addition to curbside recycling of paper and cardboard (2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month) and aluminum, glass and plastics, rinsed clean (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month), residents can schedule pickups of white goods (appliances) and heavy metals with the DPW.
Deposit electronics at the rear of the Borough Hall parking lot. Recycling is required on all construction sites. Owner/Contractors must provide Project Start and End Recycling Tonnage Reports - forms are available from the Building Department and/or Borough Clerk's Office.
Alpine participates in NJ's Clean Communities litter abatement program. Go to njclean.org for more information on what you can do to help keep Alpine clean and beautiful including keeping garbage and recyclables secure while awaiting pickup, cleaning up after your pets and not littering.
